I'm doing the summer reading challenge, this is one of the books I've read.

I put Lari Don on here because she wrote this book about girl champs and I thought the blurb from the back of the book was really funny. It said:

Who needs a handsome prince? 

The Japanese legend was about a girl called Tooyo who lived with her father, who was a doctor type person. Her father is imprisoned when he can't help a guy who is ill, he felt he was slowly drifting in water. After some adventures, Tokoyo saved the guy and her dad.

There was a Greek legend, a French folktale, an Indian myth, a Scottish folktale and lots more.

Lego girl champs

I was already impressed when Lego brought out Lego Friends for girls but I was even more impressed when they brought out the Lego movie which features two girl champs (Wild Style and the lady builder).

Elf Girl Champ

Here's a warrior girl champ from the new movie The Hobbit: Desolation of Smaug. She knows what to say when Kili the dwarf is cheeky to her!

Maggie Aderin-Pocock is an astronomer. She has dyslexia and, as a child, when she told a teacher she wanted to be an astronaut, it was suggested she try nursing.

My Girl Cat Champ

Here is a picture of my girl champ cat Lakhi (pronounced ''lucky").

We also call her "panther" (you can see why)!
